Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced that Zachary Coleman Morris, 27, was convicted of three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material (Child Pornography). The Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Morris was sentenced on October 19, 2026 by Madison County District Judge Steven W. Boyce.

In approximately October 2025, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit received multiple files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) from an I.P. address located in Madison, Idaho. These downloads were received by undercover law enforcement computers within the Attorney General’s Office. After obtaining search warrants, officers searched Morris’s home and devices, locating numerous files containing CSAM. Many of these files depicted minor females ranging from approximately one (1) to ten (10) years old. Most of these files showed children involved in sexual acts between parties including adults, and which were penetrative, oral, or manual touching with sexual intentions.

Deputy Attorney General Leighton Linning recommended imposed sentences on the three counts.  Judge Boyce issued Morris to a total of eight and one-half years, ordering he be eligible for parole after serving three and one-half years. Upon release, Morris will have to register as a sex offender pursuant to Idaho law.

This prosecution resulted from an exceptional collaborative effort by the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. The case was prosecuted by Deputy Attorneys General James Haw, Baeley Hathaway, and Leighton Linning. The investigation was led by Investigator Christian Teague and Forensic Investigator Gregg Lockwood. The ICAC Unit was assisted by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Rexburg Police Department, Freemont County Sheriff’s Office, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho Falls Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, and NCMEC.
