Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced that Theordore Riley Huston, 51, was convicted of two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child by Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material (Child Pornography). The Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Huston was sentenced on August 12, 2026 by Canyon County District Judge Matthew Roker.
In approximately November 2025, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit received multiple downloads of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) from an I.P. address located in Caldwell, Idaho. These downloads were received by undercover law enforcement computers within the Attorney General’s Office. After obtaining search warrants, officers searched Huston’s home and desktop, locating numerous files containing CSAM. Many of these files depicted minor females ranging from approximately four (4) to thirteen (13) years old. Most of the female children were in various stages of undress while engaged in lascivious poses.
Deputy Attorney General Madison Gourley recommended imposed sentences on both counts. Judge Roker sentenced Huston to a total of fifteen years in prison but retained jurisdiction over the case for up to one year. During this period of retained jurisdiction, also known as a rider, Huston will be incarcerated and receive treatment and programming. Judge Roker will then determine whether Huston should be placed on probation or serve the remainder of his sentence. Huston will have to register as a sex offender pursuant to Idaho law.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Madison Gourley. The investigation was led by Investigator Jim Bohr and Forensic Investigator Chris Hardin. The ICAC Unit was assisted by Boise Police Department, Nampa Police Department, and the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office.
