(Boise) – Attorney General Lawrence Wasden says investigators arrested a Boise man Wednesday for possession of child pornography.

Wasden says investigators with his Internet Crimes Against Children unit arrested Christopher M. Britton, 48, after conducting a search of his home and seizing evidence from his computer. The investigation began after investigators observed Britton downloading child pornography through a peer to peer network.

Britton is being held in the Ada County Jail and will face 5 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Wasden also praised law enforcement officers from the Boise Police Department for assisting in the arrest.

The Idaho Attorney General’s ICAC Unit is a coalition of state and local law enforcement agencies that work with the ICAC Task Force to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the Internet to criminally exploit children.
